Qigong for Life FAQ

Classes are offered online and in-person.

Online classes are held over Zoom. You will be sent a Zoom link and password after registering for your class.

In-person qigong classes are held at the Elfin Forest Qigong Studio in North San Diego County. The studio is easily accessed (6-12 miles) from Encinitas, Carlsbad, Escondido, San Marcos, San Elijo Hills, Vista and Rancho Bernardo. You will receive detailed directions to the studio by email after class registration.

Classes and workshops at Qigong for Life, whether in-person or online, are suitable for everyone no matter where you are in your qigong journey, your age, or physical condition! No experience in qigong is required to attend our classes and everyone can benefit whether you are experienced with qigong or looking to learn more.

We recommended that you wear loose fitting, light weight layers and socks and for your comfort. The floor in the studio is concrete. Shoes are left at the door.

If it is suitable weather we may practice outside. Please wear outdoor shoes, bring a hat and jacket.
Bring your reusable water bottle.

Please refrain from wearing perfumes, aftershave, essential oils, or any strong-smelling lotion or sunscreen to classes as often students are sensitive to strong smells.

All classes and workshops offer time for questions. These Q & A sessions are a valuable opportunity for in-depth information about qigong movements, theory and history of qigong.

If you prefer to ask your questions privately, Martha offers a 20 minute complimentary Zoom or phone call for new and long-time students. These calls are to help support you on your qigong journey. They are also an opportunity to discuss any challenges that you are encountering during a class or personal practice. If you’re a new student, this is a great opportunity to find out the best way for you to start your qigong practice.
